MLK Celebration Brunch ft. Antoine Gibson
Recording artist, saxophonist Antoine Gibson was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. Beginning music in elementary school band, he went on to form the jazz fusion band TraVerse while still in high school. For 3 years, Traverse changed the music scene in Atlanta by introducing a new flavor of jazz, r&b and hip-hop.
Post high school, Antoine enrolled at Florida A&M University, where he was a member of the Marching 100 and university jazz band and wind ensemble, all while performing around Florida and Georgia. Post graduation, he toured with DRUMLine Live!, the production that performed with Beyonce at Coachella in 2019.
In addition to his own artistry, Antoine has collaborated with the likes of Mike Phillips, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Trap Jazz, Saunders Sermons, Kirk Franklin, John P. Kee, Fantasia, Tevin Campbell, Bobby Brown, and more.
Antoine has had many cameos in tv shows and films as well - he can be seen playing on films “Coming 2 America”, Tyler Perry’s “A Jazzman’s Blues”, and with Kirk Franklin on the “Hold On Me” video, among a dozen other on screen cameos including the tv shows “BMF”, “The Quad”, and Marvel's “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”. He’s also been honored to perform the National Anthem at sporting events around the country.
Antoine released his debut studio album “Tales From The Eastside” in 2022. In 2024, he released three singles from his upcoming 2025 album titled “Drive”. The first single, “I-20 East” was released to critical acclaim and is currently climbing the Smooth Jazz Radio charts.
