Grammy-winning guitarist Norman Brown has captivated audiences worldwide for over four decades with his mesmerizing technique and soulful performances. Praised by George Benson as "one of the greatest guitarists," Brown has worked with stars like Dave Koz, Brian McKnight, and Kirk Whalum. His latest album, It Hits Different, released March 29, 2024, features 11 original tracks blending jazz, R&B, and pop. Brown’s music aims to connect with his fans, or "Normantics," and evoke joy and emotion.

A long-time practitioner of meditation and Tai Chi, Brown emphasizes balance in his life and music. His artistry is deeply influenced by spiritual principles, including Maat, the ancient Egyptian concept of truth and harmony. Tracks like "Anything" and "Asur" reflect this devotion, seamlessly blending soulful guitar riffs with rhythmic grooves. Brown’s collaborations, such as with keyboardist Tom Schuman and vocalist Wirlie Morris, further enhance the album’s vibrant sound.

Born in Shreveport, LA, and raised in Kansas City, KS, Brown’s journey with the guitar began at age eight. A graduate of the Musicians Institute, he became a flagship artist on Motown’s Mojazz label in the '90s, releasing albums like Just Between Us and Grammy-winning Just Chillin'.
