Sam Jay
Sam Jay is a stand-up comic, actor, and Emmy-nominated writer. She hosts HBO's "Pause with Sam Jay" and has a new stand-up special, "Sam Jay: Salute Me or Shoot Me," premiering on HBO on September 23rd. She stars in Netflix's "You People" and co-created Peacock's "Bust Down." Sam has written for "Saturday Night Live," the Primetime Emmy Awards, MTV Movie & TV Awards, and BET Awards.
Named one of Variety's 10 Comics to Watch in 2018, she was also a BET Her Awards Pride Honoree and featured in Netflix’s "Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration." Her first stand-up special, "Sam Jay: 3 in the Morning," debuted on Netflix in 2020. Sam has appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and released her album "Donna’s Daughter" through Comedy Central Records.
