Sierra Green & The Giants
Sierra Green, a vibrant force from New Orleans, blends timeless soul with contemporary allure. Known as the "Queen of Frenchmen Street," she started singing in her church choir at age eight and grew up in the city's 7th Ward, home to legends like Jelly Roll Morton and Allen Toussaint. She rose from humble beginnings to captivate audiences on Frenchmen Street, forming her band, The Giants, and securing residencies in top clubs. In Fall 2023, Sierra and The Giants collaborated with David Torkanowsky, producing a five-song collection that revitalized classics like The Meters' "Break in the Road." Recording in Nashville with J.D. Simo, Sierra is enhancing her debut album with sultry guitar, potent horns, and infectious basslines. Poised to leave a mark on the soul music scene, Sierra Green offers unforgettable performances filled with soulful melodies and magnetic presence.
