SWITCH

From Michigan and Ohio, SWITCH, formed in December 1976 by Gregory Williams, consisted of Bobby DeBarge, Phillip Ingram, Tommy DeBarge, Eddie Fluellen, and Jody Sims. Signed to Motown Records in 1977, they achieved significant success with four top ten singles and sold over eight million records. After personnel changes and a switch to Total Experience/RCA Records in 1983, they released one album before disbanding in 1986. A reunion attempt in 1995 was cut short by Bobby DeBarge's death. In July 2003, SWITCH reunited with three original and two new members, including lead singers Phillip Ingram and Akili Nickson, and founder Gregory Williams.
